Custom Industrial Impeller Manufacturer
Matson manufactures made-to-order industrial impellers from drawings, 3D files or samples. Whether you need a one-off prototype or a recurring OEM batch — we build to your specification.
Custom Manufacturing Service Modes
Most custom impeller projects fall into one of these categories. Tell us which one fits your situation and we will quote accordingly.
Drawing-Based Manufacturing
You provide a 2D or 3D drawing with materials and tolerances. We quote, prototype and produce to specification.
Sample Reproduction
You provide a physical sample or original part. We measure, document and reproduce it in matching or substitute material.
Reverse Engineering Service
For discontinued or undocumented impellers, we can dimension a sample, generate a working drawing and produce the part.
Material Substitution Projects
Improve an existing impeller by substituting a more corrosion-resistant or higher-strength alloy without changing the geometry.
Low-Volume / Prototype Runs
Sample and pilot runs for engineering validation, performance testing or first-article approval before mass production.
High-Volume OEM Production
Recurring batch production for industrial equipment OEMs, with stable lead times and consistent quality documentation.
Materials We Cast & Machine
Custom impellers can be produced in most common industrial alloys. Final material is confirmed against your drawing and operating environment.
From Drawing to Finished Custom Impeller
The same in-house process is used for every custom impeller project — casting, machining, finishing, balancing and inspection — so you get one supplier for the whole part.
Applications
Custom industrial impellers manufactured by Matson are used across a broad range of industrial equipment categories.
Industrial Equipment OEM
Drawing-based impellers for pump, blower, mixer and process equipment OEMs. View industry →
Replacement & Aftermarket
Sample-based reproduction of discontinued, hard-to-source or proprietary impellers.
Specialty Process Equipment
One-off and short-run custom impellers for specialty chemical, pharmaceutical and process machinery. View industry →
Cross-Industry Custom Projects
If your impeller does not fit a standard category, we still quote — drawing-based OEM is what we do.
Technical Capability
Exact specifications are confirmed from your drawing or sample. The table below is a quotation guide, not a fixed catalog.
| Manufacturing Type | Investment casting, sand casting, CNC machining, casting + finish machining, billet machining, fabricated |
|---|---|
| Common Materials | Stainless 304 / 316 / 316L, duplex stainless, bronze, brass, aluminum, carbon and alloy steel |
| Outer Diameter | Made to drawing; confirm maximum size with material and process route |
| Tolerance | Per drawing; tight tolerance achievable through casting + finish machining |
| Surface Finish | As-cast, machined, polished, electropolished, passivated, coated |
| Balancing | Dynamic balancing per drawing or operating speed |
| Order Mode | Sample, prototype, low-volume pilot, recurring OEM batch, bulk production |
| Accepted Files | PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, STP, IGS, sample photos and physical samples |
Quality Control for Custom Impeller Orders
Quality control on every custom impeller project focuses on the dimensions, materials and finish that determine fit and operating performance.
Material Verification
Material certificates and grade confirmation can be provided according to project requirements.
Dimensional Inspection
Critical dimensions checked and reported against the customer drawing for first-article and batch.
Confidentiality
Customer drawings are handled as confidential, with NDA available on request before quoting.
Custom Impeller FAQ
Short answers for purchasing teams preparing custom impeller projects.
Can you quote from just a sample, no drawing?
Yes. Sample reproduction and reverse engineering are supported. We can dimension the sample and generate the working drawing.
Do you accept low-volume or prototype orders?
Yes. Sample and pilot runs are accepted, with the production batch typically following the validated sample.
Will my drawing remain confidential?
Yes. Customer drawings are handled as confidential, and an NDA can be signed before quoting on request.
Can you substitute a better material?
Yes. Material substitution is common for impellers being upgraded for corrosion or wear resistance, without changing the geometry.
What if my impeller is not pump, fan, compressor or mixer?
Custom industrial covers everything that does not fit our other product pages. If it is an impeller, we will quote it.
What should I send for a quote?
Drawing or sample, material, diameter, quantity, surface finish, balancing requirement and application environment.
